The song of the quail

Quail, scientific name Coturnix coturnix of the family Phasianidaeit is a well known bird. Its sound is very rhythmic and intermittent and is emitted by the male to attract the females in the period of reproduction. It is heard singing from the beginning of spring both during the day and at night.
