How to make medicinal drinks - tea balsams

In the conditions of an abundance of drugs, and far from always reliable, and sometimes excessively expensive, today many summer residents and gardeners have begun to give preference to natural remedies for the treatment of certain diseases, not pills.

One of these tools are tea balsamswhich are well tested, do not require very precise dosages and are completely safe.

An important advantage of tea balsam is the simplicity of its preparation, because to its basis - ordinary tea - only one or another amount of some herbs is added, which can be freely purchased at the pharmacy or prepared directly at the dacha or site.

With such an additive, ordinary tea becomes richer in composition, saturated with vitamins, and most importantly - more healing. The benefits of tea, even with a very small addition of herbs, increases many times and has a very beneficial effect on the body.

You must immediately warn gardeners against hasty conclusions. Firstly, tea balm cannot provide the patient with instant help in treating the disease, it acts slowly, gradually, and sometimes for a long time, helping at the same time to get rid of potent drugs that should be reserved for very difficult cases.

Secondly, the main thing in the balm is not the taste or aroma (it does not contain caffeine, which excites the nerves), but there is a mass of biologically active substances: vitamins, enzymes, trace elements, phytoncides, organic acids, pectins and other substances that heal the whole body.

Thirdly, before you prepare the necessary herbs yourself, it is better to first purchase them at the pharmacy, test them well for your case in taste and smell, and then get to know them in nature. And only then can they procure and use their own stocks, which are provided free of charge.

When preparing medicinal herbs for tea balsams, strictly observe the following basic rules:

  • collect medicinal plants only in ecologically clean places, remote from roads at a distance of at least 0.5-1 km; do not collect plants annually in the same place, as this will lead to the depletion of their reserves, and possibly the extinction of some of their species;
  • do not prepare plants "in reserve" and do not keep them in a container for a long time, as there they cake, self-heat and deteriorate;
  • do not strive to take the whole plant when collecting, but save it, taking only the part that is needed: leaves, flowers, roots, etc.;
  • only dried and thoroughly cleaned plants should be taken for storage;
  • It is best to store plants in paper bags or fabric bags, and those that contain essential oils - in glass jars, and the supply of plants should not exceed 3-4 courses of treatment per year.

It is recommended to prepare tea balsam only in enamel dishes, pouring tea first, and then the corresponding components of herbs. In this case, the entire mixture should be thoroughly mixed with your fingers, then poured into a glass jar and tightly closed with a lid.

When preparing the balm, the calculation is carried out for 250 g, and the tea is measured in teaspoons, and the herbs added to the mixture are measured in tablespoons. One heaped tablespoon contains 5-6 grams of dry herb.

Personal experience and the experience of other summer residents and gardeners shows that the most effective results are achieved when treating the following six diseases with tea balsams. To do this, the following medicinal herbs are added to the tea leaves:

Diseases of the gastric tract: 2 tbsp. tablespoons of St. John's wort, mint leaves, sage leaves and 1 tbsp. spoon of thyme herb, bearberry leaves and chamomile flowers.

Diseases of the cardiovascular system: 2 tbsp. spoons of mint leaves, motherwort herb, 1 tbsp. spoon of valerian root, hawthorn berries and chamomile flowers, as well as 4 tbsp. tablespoons of chopped rose hips.

Lung diseases: 2 tbsp. tablespoons of St. John's wort, leaves of coltsfoot, oregano herb, plantain leaves, sage leaves and 1 tbsp. spoonful of thyme herb.

Kidney disease: 2 tbsp. tablespoons of St. John's wort, bearberry leaves and cornflower flowers and 3 tbsp. tablespoons of chopped rose hips.

Diseases of the nervous system: 2 tbsp. spoons of mint leaves, motherwort herb, oregano herb, chamomile flowers and 1 tbsp. spoon of valerian root.

Colds: 2 tbsp. tablespoons of St. John's wort, mint leaves and 1 tbsp. spoon of herb thyme and valerian root.

It should be noted that it is recommended to collect flowers at the stage of their full development (July), leaves - when they are young (June), and plant roots - in autumn (August, September), when the plant's life cycle is already close to the end.

In some cases, you can enhance the above formulation of balsams with additives, for example, marshmallow roots and anise fruits in an amount of up to 1 tbsp. spoons of each in the treatment of pneumonia; stigmas of corn in the amount of 1 tbsp. spoons for kidney treatment; hops in the amount of 1 tbsp. spoons in the treatment of nervous diseases, etc.

My statements are not empty words. For example, one of my neighbors at the dacha cured a duodenal ulcer in a season with a balm for treating diseases of the gastric tract, and a retired neighbor's kidney disease disappeared. Yes, and I myself quickly cured the cold that had arisen with the balm called here.

I note that many summer residents, to improve the taste of tea balsams, without changing the general recipe, added spicy plants to them, for example, lemon balm, lungwort, as well as leaves of various berry bushes: currants, raspberries, strawberries and others. At the same time, not only an improvement in the taste and special aroma was noted, but also a noticeable improvement in the medicinal properties of the balm.

"There is wonderful power in the balm!" - this is how the famous Hungarian pharmacist, Dr. Josef Zwak, said about his "Unicum" balm more than 200 years ago. Balms (in European - bitters) have a beneficial effect on the entire body as a whole, prevent the development of many diseases and even contribute to their cure. they heal, tone up, regulate all vital systems of the body and give strength.

I recommend using balms as a preventive health and wellness remedy for:

  • improving the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract
  • maintaining and strengthening men's health
  • with a cold
  • to enhance immunity.

The composition of my balsams under the brand name "Kochubey" are unique herbs of Potavshchina: fragrant woodruff, bedstraw, Sarmatian grindelia balsam censer, creeping anchors, sweet clover, cartilaginous yarrow and many others. As well as numerous spices, roots, seeds. In total - 50 components in different proportions. Such a rich set forms the unique character of each of the author's balsams, which have a pleasant taste and delicate aroma of herbs and spices.

Balms are bright, thick, rich in taste. And the taste of the balm is always a mystery!

The balms do not contain preservatives.

Method of use:

  • 20-30 ml two to three times a day 20-30 minutes before meals
  • 2-3 teaspoons in coffee or tea
  • up to 150 ml as an alcoholic drink (for one meal)
